Delete your JurisBot account

Request deletion on the web, without signing in

Go to jurisbot.in/delete-account-request and enter the email address or the verified mobile number on the account. We send a six-digit code there; entering it deactivates the account immediately and schedules erasure. You do not need the app, and you do not need to be able to sign in.

Request deletion in the app

Sign in to JurisBot, open Settings, then open Data controls and select Delete my account and data. Confirm the request on the next screen. The outcome is identical to the web route above — the same recovery period, the same erasure.

If the address and the number on the account are both out of reach, contact us at support@jurisbot.in. We may ask for information needed to verify ownership before acting on the request.

What happens after you request deletion

• Your account is deactivated immediately and can no longer be used, on every device.
• Your personal data is scheduled for permanent erasure after a 30-day recovery period.
• Signing back in during that 30-day period cancels the deletion request, and we tell you that it has been cancelled.
• After the recovery period we delete your account and its data from our database, delete the files you uploaded from cloud storage, and remove your sign-in credential. Nothing can be recovered after that, by you or by us.

What is erased

• Your profile, sign-in details and linked Google or Apple identities.
• Every question you asked and every answer JurisBot gave.
• Documents you uploaded, their extracted text and their review findings.
• Drafts, matters, deadlines and next steps.
• Consultation requests you sent to advocates, and your advocate listing if you have one.
• Your plan, purchase records and notification settings.

What is kept, and why

• An anonymised record that an answer was given, kept for seven years and no longer connected to you. This is what lets a challenge to legal information be investigated after the account is gone.
• A record that the deletion was requested and carried out, holding no contact details.
• Anything a tax or accounting obligation requires us to keep about a payment.

Subscriptions bought through Apple or Google

A subscription bought inside the app is held by Apple or by Google, not by us, and deleting your JurisBot account does not cancel it. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account, otherwise it will keep renewing after the account it paid for is gone.

Deleting individual content

You can remove content that JurisBot lets you delete from its relevant screen. To erase all account-associated personal data, use the account deletion process above.
